Our work is absolute proof that Fine Art Photography can create more beautiful works of art than paintings…

Art is the preeminent form of communication, and photography is the most powerful type of art.

Artist Statement

The mystery, intrigue and romance of tropical isolation are all captured in my fine art photographic series. Whether a sunrise, a sunset or a landscape, you’ll see an eclectic set of photographs depicting an age gone by. Visualization of the final image before it is composed is one of the keys to developing masterpieces.

Bokeelia is the site of many of my photographs, and a fishing village called Matlacha is a secondary site. These old Florida cities are on Pine Island, the largest island on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It is an 18-mile island, full of mangroves and palm trees. Bokeelia is a small village of cottages, a pier and several restaurants. It contains nurseries and farmland that could take you back a century. A good number of photographs were also taken on Sanibel and Captiva Islands, neighboring islands in the Gulf of Mexico. In an art photographer’s paradise, I have the opportunity to take world-class photography of amazing seascapes and landscapes. You’ll also notice interspersed among the photographs my best work from the Myakka River State Park, fifty-eight square miles of wetlands, prairies and pinelands. The river and its lakes attract a major population of wildlife.

Composition is all about how I use contrast and light to see the world. Fine art photography is also about being in the right place at just the right time, and using the right exposure settings. I use photography as an art form. My fine art photography is a unique vision of color perception.

Creativity and inspiration are the hallmarks of my photographs. Combined with vision and insight, these remarkable photographs capture the mystery of a time long past, but that is still somehow here with us.

Sometimes I do get to places just when God’s ready to have somebody click the shutter.
